Children Of The Corn! (3 Words Sunday)

I feel as though we are living in the middle of the classic Stephen King movie/novel.....Children Of The Corn.....are we in Nebraska or Pennsylvania???

I took this picture yesterday...this is the edge of our property line.........we are being invaded!

Nick looks so small in comparison to the huge stalks.......

Does anyone need some corn?

Corn- Before 2
I took this picture 8 weeks ago in approximately the same spot..........can you believe how fast this stuff grows? In a matter of 8 weeks it has grown over 9 feet.....I guess all the rain we have been getting is good for the farmers and their crops!

View 2
Here is the view from our house........I actually think I took this shot while standing at the bottom of our deck before the corn started to grow.

We love the farm house that is back there.....it is so beautiful in the winter.......when it snows, it looks like a scene in an Ansel Adams portrait....it is part of the reason that we picked this particular lot........the view is very pretty. Not so sure the farmer is too excited to see new homes going up where it once was all farm land. In comparison to some of the other communities in this area.....we still have a lot of wide open space. During the fall and winter months we often get deer running through.....we also have a family of red fox that live around here somewhere because we often spot them early in the morning running around our yard.

Now......I can handle fox....I can handle deer, but if I see scary looking children coming from those corn fields......we're outta here!

Oh my goodness! Are you sure you don't live in Nebraska?! We could have taken that picture here! Nick looks so cute in it too! In fact, the only thing we bought at the Farmer's Market today was corn!

Oh...that's too funny, but I too don't like that movie lol!

The view from your back property is breath-taking! I love old farm houses (I think that's why I so much enjoy/love Bucks County area in PA). Another good point...maybe Nick can "charm" the farmer into getting some free corn lol!!! (OK on a strict budget here as you know). Hope you guys are having a great weekend!!!

Lovely view!! I grew up in farmland and I am the proud grandaughter of a farmer (harderst working people out there...salt of the earth!)...so I enjoyed seeing your corn field! I would, however, keep an eye out for zombie like children anywhere in the vicinity.....

Great photo of Nick in the corn!!

Wow! Check out how fast the corn is growning!! Does it normally get that tall even at the end? It's been such a funny summer where we need to take and umbrella and sunscreen with us every day.

Mmmm...the cute pic of your son in the corn puts me in the mood for corn. Maybe for supper?

WOW, you literally have corn growing in your back yard. That farm house is very pretty and I can see how pretty it would be in the winter time.

Wow that's a lot of ears!
When we were kids we used to build corn stalk forts in the middle of the farmers fields. There were a ton of kids in the neighborhood so the farmer never did catch us! It was awsome!

That movie was creepy!!!
I wasn't planning that Dorney Park trip. While we were in Atlantic City friday night my cousin called me and told me I was going (she didn't even ask just told me she spoke to my son and that's where I was going) We did not get home from AC till 2:30AM and left the next morning by 8AM. We had a great time and with advanced planning I would have asked if you were interested in meeting us there. I thought of you and that you loved in Pennsylvania. How fun it would have been to meet a friend from bloggy land!!!!!!!!
If your ever in this neck of the woods you must tell me!!!!!!!!!
