The Bluebells Are Blooming!!

April 20, 2009

Saturday I got to spend some quality time with each of the kids individually. Nick in the morning and Sarah in the afternoon. Nick and I volunteered at our local Autism walk....he begged me not to take pictures of him, but of course I snapped a few....My job was to walk around with my camera and snap photos of kids and their families as well as teams of people that raised money for the cause....so you know I was loving every minute of that. When we got home, there were over 200 pictures to be processed, so I am still working on them and hope that in the next day or two, I will be able to post a few of my favs and finally get some pictures of Nick up on the blog!!

That afternoon, Nick went to a friends house to play, so Sarah and I went to the park. When I pulled in I was so excited to see that the Bluebells were finally starting to bloom.....there is a gigantic field and they are sprouting up everywhere!! Sarah took off as soon as she saw them and began picking flowers.

This set of pics might be my all time favorite. Sorry there are so many...I couldn't choose, so I am posting them all.....she was full of expression Saturday afternoon!!

Blue Bonnets (54 of 64) Copy_700
Angel eyes!

I missed my family while I was gone and am so happy to be back home. We had such a nice, simple weekend hanging out together.....It was just what I needed after a long week away!! We spent a majority of our weekend outdoors and even fired up the grill for the first time this season.
It is safe to say that Spring has finally arrived....everything is in bloom and the temperature is climbing....Summer is just around the corner and I CANNOT wait!!

Hope you all had a Happy Monday!

Oh, these photas are beyond gorgeous. (I'm a painter and I actually felt an ache with the close-up, the last one, and the third.) They are truly exceptional pictures. Congratulations.

Just beautiful. My favorite one is the 3rd one down...Sarah with a field of flowers. Man are you good!

You said you used photoshop and lightbox? What to you think of powerpoint(I have that)? Or which of the first two do you like best? They are expensive. You could go into business taking photos!

These are my favorite too! I immediately thought bluebonnets-I wonder if they are the same. It's the state flower of Texas. People will risk their lives pulling onto the side of the road to take pictures in the bluebonnets. I have my picture in them from every year when I was little, unfortunately we don't them here so no bluebonnet pictures for Landree. Sarah's expressions are perfect and I love her headband and outfit! SO CUTE!

CC said...

Holy canoli those pics are amazing! The funny thing is that I HATE the bluebells in my yard. As far as I am concerned they are awful weeds. But in a field, for pics... I'm all over that!

Fliss and Mike Adventures said...

I am loving all those blue bells... wish they had those here in Florida...
Sorry it has been a while since visiting... life has been super crazy...
Of course photography is taking over too... hahaha
