Easter in Pink and Green

April 13, 2009

We just got back from Cape Cod around 2am this morning. Needless to say, we are all exhausted......it was a quick trip up and back, but so worth it! We have so much fun visiting the "Gaelic" side of the family......but it always goes so fast...we hate to have to say goodbye.....but before we know it, it will summer and we will be heading back up to hit the beaches!!

The weather was pretty cold and rainy but thankfully we did have some sunshine on Easter Sunday so that the kids could enjoy their annual Easter Egg hunt in my Sister In Law's backyard!! There was even a special appearance made by the Easter Bunny......wait until you see how that went over......I bet you all can guess how Sarah reacted.

I am running really short on time and just wanted to get some of these up before I leave town again tomorrow. For the most part, I did not take my camera out of the bag all weekend, but did manage to snap a few during the egg hunt. Nick was running from the camera in normal fashion and Sarah was already pretty tired and cranky so she was in no mood to cooperate....they are not the best. I had high hopes of passing the camera to someone else so that I could have just one picture of Pat and I with the kids...... but that never happened....oh well there is always next year!! You will also see a theme here....everyone chose to wear pinks and greens....it was almost comical. We really should have tried to get a group shot with everybody. You would have thought we all planned it!!

The Easter Bunny made a visit to Aunt Ann's and handed out special gifts for the little ones.

Sarah.....not so thrilled to see the Easter Bunny up close in person:(

Easter (51 of 71) copy
Still worried that the Easter Bunny was going to come near her.

Easter (36 of 71) copy_edited-1
The only picture I have of my two together on Easter....from the back of course. Nick didn't participate in the Easter Egg hunt, but was willing to try to help his sister search for Eggs that were out of her reach.

Easter (59 of 71) copy_edited-1
Sarah sitting in front of her Daddy looking through the sliders in the familyroom to make sure that the bunny had really left the yard......She did not like him and was not going to relax until she knew he was gone for good..........look at that face!!

I hope to catch up with you all over the next couple of days.....I haven't looked at a single blog since Friday morning. I am still unpacking, cleaning, and doing laundry, so that I can repack my bag and head to Louisville tomorrow knowing that everything is done and that Pat and the kids will have everything they need in my absense!!

There is one little perk to my business trip.....I get to meet up with a couple of fabulous ladies from our Blogger community....you will have to wait until I return to see who I have the pleasure of meeting this time around!!

Have a great week!!

Great pics. i love the one of Sarah and Nick together even if it is of their backs. Sarah is too cute with her fear of the Easter Bunny. My nephew fell in love with the Easter Bunny, but he can't stand Santa!

I love your Easter pics!!! The dress was perfect and looks like lil' bit can wear it several more times. Her little face looking scared is too cute (of course, I don't like that she was scared, but at least she looked precious :)
I love the pic of Nick sweetly helping his Sarah! Awww, what a love.

Have fun on your business trip. I can't wait to hear who all you are meeting. I am sure that they will be beautiful, witty, charming and excited to see you, too! :)

Wonderful pictures! Our family all seemed to wear turquise and no one sent me the memo - Amelia and I would have fit in with your family in our pink and green:)

Shari said...

Oh - and as far as the scary bunny goes - we had to leave Perkins without eatting last week because I made the mistake of taking Amelia on familiy night and they had a clown there! She didn't take her eyes off of him until I had her buckled safely in her carseat. She ate her pancakes at home.

Hey now - I love that from the back photo! But then, I bet you guessed that. And poor Sarah! That Easter Bunny is pretty scary looking.

Love all the pink and green (those really are perfect colors for Easter.) Ava has a pink and green birthday coming up on Saturday. A tall, walking and talking bunny is a little freaky when you think about it. All the photos are great. Get some rest for your trip...sounds like a great mix of business and fun.

I loved the pink and green theme.

Love the colors of choice! It looks like everyone had a wonderful {most of the time} Easter. How sweet of Nick to help Sarah out in the Egg Hunt.

Safe travels and enjoy meeting up with your blogging buddies!

I love that picture of Nick and Sarah!

When my son was little there was some program called Banana's in Pajama's or something weird like that. They were at a local store and I took him to see them - in his cute little PJ's, of course! He was so excited to see them...until it was his turn to hug them and he realized how huge they were. He was terrified and broke into tears!

Sarah being scared of the Easter Bunny made me think of that.

What beautiful children there are in your families!

Glad to hear you are planning a Bloggergal Get Together while away...that is exciting!

Looks and sounds like a great Easter. Your entire family is too cute. Love that Nick helped Sarah search for eggs - what a sweet big brother! Well Lucy and Sarah could have beenr in the same, "scared of the Easter Bunny" boat. Poor little things. Oh well at least it didn't stop them from enjoying the day! Hope you had a great start to the week!

What great photos!! I'm seriously impressed with the family fashion... I would never have guessed you all didn't plan it!! That's great!

Em reacts the same way to the Easter bunny... She did get close to him this year... but you see the anxiety in her eyes! HAHA!!

Happy Easter!!

Oooh great, a recent post from Cape Cod! Love the photos of your family. The girls are stunning, your Sarah is precious in her new Easter Dress and Nick is handsome as ever. I love when you take pics of him smiling like that!

So glad you had a great time! I couldn't help but smile when I realized Sarah didn't like the big Bunny! Kira doesn't like Bugs or the mention of them and practically crawls up my leg at the sight of one. This just started last week. I can only imagine what she would do if she saw that giant bunny!

Have a safe business trip and fun meeting new friends:))

Ivy

Lisa,

#1--I love your photography and your "subjects are beautiful"

#2--I just discovered your post about your neighbor's house and I'm laughin' my fat butt off! How hysterical! Wonder what's up with that? How much trouble would it be to jerk that crap down??! And did you say lights and tree are still up as well? What the heck? I thought I was bad, but dang. What I'm wondering is if your neighbor accidentally happened upon your blog and saw her house and your comments....???? HAHA! Awkward!

I'm wondering if it's still all there now?

Hope to hear from you,
Rhonda
