Double Trouble

May 27, 2009

Last Saturday, I took Sarah and my nephew Aidan to the park to run around. These two are only 8 weeks apart and get along like two peas in a pod....they always have a great time together.

It was a beautiful sunny day, but REALLY hot. It only took 5 minutes before the sweat starting to run down my face. I knew that keeping up with one two year old had it's challenges, but keeping up with two....OH MY!!! I should have worn my running shoes instead of flip flops......

If he goes, I will follow wm700
They went from this.....

Aidan and Sarah (21 of 29)2wm700
To THIS.... in the first 5 seconds of our trip.

Cousins Black and whitewmfinal700
And somehow I caught this brief moment.....I still am not sure how, but I did....I think it was the one and only split second that "DOUBLE TROUBLE" decided to sit still the entire hour and a half we were there. It is a little blurry, but it was the best I could do given their need for speed that afternoon.

I have a new found respect for those of you that have twins or two little ones close in age.......I don't know how you do it ALL DAY, EVERY DAY!!! I would definitely need to keep the caffeine pumping through my veins......and maybe a little red wine too:)

Love that last photo, Lisa. And we actually requested twins during our first adoption. Now I am so thankful that didn't happen! Heck, I need caffeine just being near of our friends with twins. The Tongginator's birthday party - with three sets of twins, plus other assorted friends - was enough to exhaust me. Heh.

Oh my gosh, the looks on their faces in that second photo -- priceless!!!

Hey what lens/camera settings did you use for that one? I have trouble getting both girls in sharp focus when they're moving that fast (and they're always moving that fast).

Oh what fun! Your photos just get better every day - I don't know how you got that action shot but it is spectacular!

Sweet photos! Those two are so cute!! Watch out though -- I always thought the 3s were harder than the 2s! It is fun having cousins the same age!

Oh Lisa...you are getting me a little nervous here after reading that post?!?!?!?!?! Annabelle and Benjamin are only 6 months apart & whenever I mention it to anyone/everyone I am told, "Oh it is going to be like having twins!" At first I was super excited, but after really thinking about the twin factor and knowing what my husband (who is a twin) put his mother through...I think I am in T-R-O-U-B-L-E! Yikes...DOUBLE Yikes!

BTW - LOVE the photo especially the one of the kiddos sitting on the bench! You captured a once-in-a-lifetime moment! Remember ~ you must come down when we move and I am booking you for our Christmas cards this coming year! (write me in!)

Uh-huh - twins. (I'm an identical twin and we were the last of 5 kids in 5 and a half years. My poor Mommy!!!)

The third picture is just so serene. Really lovely!

(Glad you got into my troubled little blog.)

Great pics regardless! That's too funny! I love the second pic, it's hilarious! I totally hear you on the caffeine AND wine! It seems I'm constantly yelling at my two for something, mostly their fighting! And then, they stand up for each other, too funny! Oh, the gray hairs are starting!

You may very soon, have a little one on your hands too! :)
