Better Together- "Sunday Snapshot"

January 30, 2011

Cooking with Mommy BLOG
For as long as I can remember, I woke up before anyone in our house. I would come downstairs and drink my coffee and get lost in the peace and quiet. It was my alone time and I could get a lot done in those first few hours.

That all changed when Reagan joined the family. She is an early riser just like her Mommy, so now it has become our special time together. We eat breakfast together and then she follows me around the kitchen as I clean up and prepare for the day.

Protecting her sister BLOG
Reagan loves to play, but she is not a big fan of playing by herself. Some mornings she almost seems lost until "Sleeping Beauty" decides to wake up and start her day!

getting my balance blog
There are always lots of giggles between them and Sarah has learned how to "encourage" her sister to do things and to imitate what she does and says.

Laverne and Shirley Collage BLOG IT
I don't necessarily think you need words to describe the interaction between these two. When you see them together it's about as plain as day.

Finger in mouth BLOG
They are totally fine on their own.......

Let me tell you a secret BLOG
But they are definitely "BETTER TOGETHER"

Just a snpashot of a typical morning with the girls. Hanging out in their pjs(thanks to all the friends and family members that have sent the girls such adorable matching pjs. They are putting them to good use with all of these lazy snow days)..... unruly bedhead and all!

I usally try to tame the wild hair with a bow or clippy so they can see what they are playing with, but Reagan is into removing anything and everything from her hair these days. I am at a loss with her hair.... it has a mind of it's own and I cannot get it to lay flat. I wet it and brush it and bounces right back up!

Speaking of bouncing right back up..... Anyone notice a certain someone is upright and on her feet in almost all of these photos?? She has already taken her first few steps, but is not quite sprinting across the room just yet!

Very sweet post!! I love that you get some alone time with Reagan in the morning.
And walking? yeah!!! We haven't encouraged G to walk yet due to being on holiday (would have been a nightmare watching her toddle by the pool!) but I am deperate to see her take her first step now...we are nearly there.
It must be quite something to see your two daughters bond and become close. There is nothing better than a sister to confide in..I have 4 and love them all to pieces! Have a great weekend Lisa! dx

Lisa, these photos truly capture their bond!

These are precious photos! The love is so evident...Keep them close so when Sarah is 16 and her 12 year old sister is bugging her you can pull them out and remind her how much she truly loves her;)

My sister is my BFF. In spite of some hair pulling when we were kids, some clothes stealing in our teens, some differences in opinion in our 20's. But I wouldn't have it any other way. I wish that kind of relationship for Sarah and Reagan. :)

Awwwww, that last shot is just too sweet. Amazing how quickly the bonds of sisterhood take hold, isn't it?

I have a feeling it isn't going to be long at all before baby girl is running around the whole place, she is looking awfully confident in herself in these pics! :)

Happy Sunday!

There's not a whole lot better than the sister bond that they share. It really is special.
That last picture is incredibly sweet!

So I am lovin' their black and pink pj's...too cute. I don't have any wisdom about Reagan's hair, I do remember a time when Grace's went through a similar stage. Maybe it needs to get longer? I'm just guessing.

Have great Sunday and week, Lisa!

Awww! What a great way to start my Sunday! Yes, I am just waking up...see I told you I am not a morning person :) But, I am glad to see that Miss Reagan is and you two can have special alone time. That's priceless. I love seeing the bond between Sarah and Reagan. It's as if they have been sisters for years. Sooo sweet! That last pic MELTED MY HEART!!! As for Reagan's hair...Paige's was tons worse. It would stick up all over the place. Things started getting better once it got longer and thicker. I think it just takes time.

Such cute photos! I've heard that using baby oil helps keep the unruly hair tamed and down!

So good to see the sisters bonding so well! They are so precious! When my daughters were young and had unruly hair, I put a little non-greasy lotion to tame it. Good luck, Wendy

I have really enjoyed your blog throughout the wait, especially when you went to China. I live near Tongu Momma hope one day I might meet you and your precious girls. All the best.
