Crazy For Her Baby

November 16, 2011

Me and My Cabbage Patch Collage
There are lots of things that Reagan likes to do and play with, but these days you will most likely find her walking around or attending to one of her babies.
One for her and one for me collage
Just after feeding Reagan her breakfast and getting her dressed to start the day, she grabbed her favorite doll along with a cup and spoon and climbed back into her booster seat at the kitchen table and began to feed her. It was so super sweet to watch her pretend. She treated that baby with such care and concern....... but I had to laugh when I saw her sneak a bite or two of the food for herself.

Spoon Wrong Way BLOG
Our girl loves to eat even if it is just "Pretend food".

I really needed something to make me smile today, and these photos certainly did the trick.
Things have been not so good around here. You probably would not even believe me if I told you all the illnesses that have passed through our house in the last 3 weeks.

The new germs that the girls are encountering at school are taking over in a big way. We have all had the flu, then just days later, Reagan got sick again with a stomach virus, and now the latest was waking up Sunday night to Sarah, who sounded more like a barking dog, then a little girl.....the Croup!

I am about at the end of my rope and hope that we are done being sick for a while. I pray that the girls build up a resistance to all these germs.....and soon! We rarely get sick and since the girls started daycare, we have all been sick more than we have been well. Hopefully the worst is past us and it will be clear sailing ahead through the holiday season. I am looking forward to the long Thanksgiving Holiday next week so we can relax, enjoy, and maybe actually get out of the house to do something fun as a family! That being said, can you believe that Christmas is just a little more than five weeks away? I cannot....and I am nowhere near ready!
Anyone start decorating yet?

Lisa, adorable! I love that first picture of Reagan with her doll. Her eyes sparkle with excitement and the world of pretend play. Good days...
I sure hope you're through the worst of the sickness and that you have a healthy family especially this Holiday season. Enjoy your Wednesday, tara

So sorry about the sickies. We went through it here for five weeks. Our youngest can't win against all the germs at school. She is sick again ;-)

It is very hard when your children first go into public daycare. My oldest boys were wiped out for a year. And when I got what they had, it knocked me right out. I seemed to get it worse than they did. BUT, once kindergarten came around, they rarely ever got sick.

Oh I hope that you're getting it all out of the way and you'll all be healthy for the holidays. Nothing worse than continued illness. Take care! And no, I haven't started decorating. I think the Halloween bat is still on my front door.

Adorable as always. Like your other commenters I hope the illness is behind you so you can enjoy the holidays. Five weeks? Really? Oh my.

We actually put up a 4 foot Christmas tree because Ariana was loving the tree displays so much in the store that she would cry and scream when we had to leave them!

I'm sorry you have been dealing with all that sickness. I have been battling some chronic illnesses myself the last few months. I am not sure when the light at the end of the tunnel is coming for me unfortunately. :(

Adorable pics! I can see why they put a smile on your face!

These are absolutely precious! Last year when Linhsey was in pre-school I used to keep her home sometimes when it was nearing a holiday or special event just so I knew she wouldn't be sick for it. Luckily my girls don't get sick often. Gene was in daycare at a young age and he was ALWAYS sick. He grew out of it for the most part and stopped getting so sick once we changed our diets when he was around 6-7 yrs old.
I love these pics!

What beautiful pics!! A Doll with at a doll!!! Too cute!!!

Wishing you and the kiddos are far past the "crud". Kids are exposed to more germs once they start school/daycare. The good thing is...it will build up their immune system. Tough route to take...but it's a known fact.
Speaking of "known fact"...how do "these things" know when to "rear it's ugly head"!!! We missed family pics this week because of a unsightly fever blister that just decided to pop up on my mouth just last week! Less I mention that Bre decides that her forehead would make a good "cushion" for the monkey bars a few weeks ago. To add insult to injury, my husband decides he would "nick" himself several times while shaving. So far the rest of the family is "injury free"! I joked w/my husband and said "people will think our Christmas cards are "post Halloween" greetings after viewing us all wrapped in bandages. We will look more like mummies!!! Oh boy!! Bring on the holidays!!! *sighhhhhh*

PS Thank you for the beautiful email you sent.

Love these pics of Reagan and her doll. She is adorable.

I hope all those germs go away quickly. I remember the same thing happening when both of my kids started school. It's so horrific seeing them suffer and then to top it all off you end up getting sick too. Don't even get me started on the croup. I can't even tell you how many times Natalie got that when she was little. It started when she began a mommy and me class. I had to pull her out because it would not stop.

Hope you're able to enjoy the rest of the week. I too can't believe how this year has passed so quickly. I'm close to finishing up the kids xmas shopping. Haven't even started on my "big" boy. That's going to be a challenge this year.

xoxo

Isn't she so funny?!
The care and attention is what she learned at home.
