Favorite Photo Friday - "Guilty Pleasures"

January 6, 2012

A red skittle BLOG
Friday could not have arrived a moment too soon.....what a week!
The holidays were hectic. They came and went in the blink of an eye and it has been tough getting back to the reality of our daily routines. I will admit, while everyone is busy making New Year's resolutions, this time of year sort of depresses me a little bit. I am not a big fan of winter and the very cold temps that it brings our way. I always seem to fall into a funk in January with thoughts of the long winter ahead. I am already counting the days until Spring makes its appearance and we can spend our time outdoors again.

In an attempt to provide myself a little "pick me up", Reagan caught me in the pantry grabbing a handful of one of my favorite guilty pleasures....Skittles!

To this point, this is a treat I have never shared with her. I have always been afraid she would choke on them, but this particular day, I could not deny the little face that was staring at me as if to say, "Where are mine".
I decided it was time to let her try my favorite guilty pleasure.

Reagan and the Skittles Collage
Did she ever love those chewy, fruit flavored candies!!!

Reagan Kneeling on the Chair at the Table with her Snack BLOG
She sat there cherishing every last little piece as she popped them in her mouth.

hands over snack BLOG.
Then she realized she had company...... Sarah entered the room.

A Quiet Moment Between Sisters BLOG
Two bowls are definitely better than one in our house.
As long as they each have their own snack, everyone is happy!!!

Fingers together at the table BLOG
They looked so cute sitting there quietly enjoying there skittles.
Not a word was said.

A hug for my sister by the window BW BLOG
Then they reached the bottom of their bowls......

I bet I can make you laugh BLOG
and the SUGAR KICKED IN:))

Silliness Starts From Skittles BLOG
The winter blues I was feeling, quickly slipped away as I watched these two ham it up!

Lisa, these are precious, adorable! you will look back on these time and again, for sure!
Thanks for sharing a good laugh this morning. It is much-needed on my part, we've had a poor start to 2012 with a tragedy in Hubby's family. The thought of Photo Friday brightened my heavy heart.
Give your girls an extra big hug today! They're precious.

Thank you for putting a smile on my face this morning. :-) I don't blame them one bit for enjoying those tasty little treats. I too enjoy nibbling on Skittles every now and then.

Your girls are adorable!

I love Skittles, but I have to be careful not to let my son see me... because he loves them, but unfortunately, he is super sensitive to sugar/food coloring and I'll be paying for it if he ever even just gets a couple.

Beautiful Lisa. Winter hasn't kicked in here yet...it was 59 degrees yesterday...the kids didn't need coats, in Iowa in January. That has helped with the after holidays depression here, but it looks like we may get back down to the 30s next week - still better than normal. I hope our sunshine and warm temps from yesterday hit your house this weekend:)
Happy Friday!

SO precious! I love the lighting in these shots, and your conversions rock!

Just think, right in the middle of your cold winter, a little trip to Texas will be coming and hopefully it'll be nice and balmy in SA! :)

Happy weekend!!

Sweet, sweet photos:) January seems to be a tough month for everyone. It is not too cold here at all but most of the women I know are in a funk. Hope happy days some quickly!!

This can be a hard time of the year...but how could you NOT smile seeing those adorable faces!

Beautiful. As always. Love the light and the framing of the window around the girls when they're sitting at the table.

Here's to a mild Winter and early Spring!! We've had a very mild one here in WI and now I've just jinxed myself by saying that. lol.

Happy Friday Lisa!

hugs, Gail

Guilty admission here instead of Guilty pleasure! I'm currently reading your post...and....happily eating Bre's GOBSTOPPERS she left in my purse yesterday!! I always scoffed at the jawbreaker type candies for her, for fear of CHOKING but that kid has teeth like a shark! She LOVES them to no end!!

So I pour a few in my hands and find they are really not JAWBREAKERS at all, after a few moments on the tongue...they turn into a sweetart sort of and dissolves!!! They are so DELISH!!

By far way better than the boring candy cane I was searching for in my purse! Gotta love those 75% after-Christmas candy deals right?) Well...you know how this story will end. Gotta stop and get another box BEFORE I pick her up from after-school care!! She does NOT SHARE CANDY WELL with others. Ha!!Bad mommy moment. :)

Hoping your blues get better and hopefully not as BLUE as my tongue is right now!! (SMILE)

So eloquently captured my friend! LOVE your backdrop for these beautiful photo's of your beautiful baby girls!!!

I must say, I sooooooo miss "Black and White Wednesday"!! I don't think I have posted a b&w photo since you sunset-ed Black and White Wednesday last September. These beautiful photo's remind me just how much I appreciate B&W's. I really need to make it a New Year's resolution to post at least one b&w a month.

Have a wonderful weekend!
God Bless,
Diane
