Sarah in the Pink Sparkly Hat FINAL BLOG
Last Sunday, someone was a little reluctant to get up and go to church, because this was not your ordinary Sunday Mass, this was the kick off to Catholic Schools Week and the day that all new students are required to register for the upcoming school year.

Guess who is going to be a new student?

Yes, Miss Sarah will be attending their full day Kindergarten program.

She was not all that enthused when she realized that next year she would no longer be going to the daycare that she has grown accustomed to. Of course the thought of leaving Reags and all of her friends behind upset her a little too, but once we took the tour of her new school, and saw all that it had to offer, that frown quickly turned upside-down.

We are hoping that Sarah will transition easily and grow to love this school as much as Nick did. Sadly, this is his last year because the school only goes up to 8th Grade.
Sarah will be starting Kindergarten and Nick will be attending High School.
One will be learning how to read while the other will be getting ready to learn how to drive a car.
The 9 year age difference between them never seemed so far apart.... until now.

I believe Sarah will transition extremely fast in her new environment. She seems to be a very social butterfly that will easily flutter her wings and explore new and exciting adventures. Wow driving...can't even fathom. :-)

I was very worried when Z first started kindy, but we "sold" it to her as going to the same school that J went to... and seeing how much she wants to be doing whatever J does, that helped. A pity that when she first joined the kindy, that was the year that J moved to primary school, so they never were in the same school. She had the same teachers that J had, though, (even the same classroom), so that helped a lot.

I think your Sarah will do fine. :)

Precious, precious image of Sarah!!

Oh, I just can't bear the thought of high school yet. We don't have much longer to go either. And driving?!? My mind can't even go there. I am sure Nick will excel in both! And congratulations to Sarah for getting registered!

Have a great weekend!

Michelle

There is a 12 year difference between my oldest and youngest. The other day my oldest said, "Mom Adelaide isn't going to know who I am." He was pretty choked up by the fact that he will be leaving for college in just 6 years.

If you bottle up her beauty, you could make a fortune. This picture is gorgeous! I hope she will adjust quickly, I have two in high school this year. Which I find quite interesting-you always think wait until they get to a certain point and then before you know it they are there!

What a beautiful portrait of Miss Sarah. She's going to love kindergarten and meeting lots of new friends. Wow, where does the time fly? Seems like yesterday when we were both changing our gals little diapers and now off to school. Well, she'll do great!

What a beautiful picture of your sweet Sarah!

Kindergarten already? I'm sure she'll do wonderfully!

*sigh!* they grow up far too fast!!

;o) Mommy, is it harder to believe that Sarah is going to kindergarten or that you'll *gasp!* be the (young, hot) mom of a high schooler?

She is beautiful and she will excel! (Just look at those bright eyes!)
I have a 12 year old and a 10 week old (with 2 in between, so I understand the age difference)

Oh Lisa, she is so beautiful!
Sarah is such a bright, generous and thoughtful lady that I'm sure she will get on great at kindergarten.
Our middle girl is driving, passed her test first time, and it's great! She drives herself and son to school every day, which is one less job for us to do!

Mind if I ask...if you use an overlay on your pictures? They always look so dreamy. I use Florabella...but mine still never look quite like yours. jealous.

Lisa,

LOVE this photo of Sarah. And the houndstooth ones are adorable too.

We are in the same boat. Will is going to high school and Kate probably will repeat kindergarten. Her teacher says she is doing fine academically but she is very very "young" for the class. Selfishly, I want to mover her along but we will probably give her another year.

Will and Kate are exactly 9 years apart too. Will is 14 and Kate is 5. Will can do driver's ed this summer!!!! UGH...shoot me now!
