Princess In Training 2SF BLOG
Remember when I mentioned that Reagan was going through a phase of continuously removing her clothes? It has progressed to include taking off her diaper too. I tried not to jump to the conclusion that this meant she was ready for potty training. I traveled down this road with Sarah when she was the exact same age. She appeared to be showing signs that she was ready to give it a try and when we attempted to get rid of the diapers, she protested. I didn't want to make the same mistake twice, so I have been reluctant to go at it full force with Reagan,
until the other night......

We were in the family room playing and she walked over to me, stepped out of her pants, took off her diaper, handed it to me, and said, "potty". We walked to the bathroom, I put her on, and within seconds..... She went!

Could it really be this easy the third time around?

I definitely have my doubts, but I am willing to try.
Oh how I would love to kiss those diapers, GOODBYE!

We wear tiaras on our heads, read books, and sing songs.
Basically anything we can do to help things "move" along.

When we have success there are lots of cheers from the crowd.
This in itself, makes our little girl more than proud!

She sits up on that potty looking poised and steady,
But only time will tell....if she is truly ready.

I seriously hope that the third time is the charm! Of course I won't be potty training my little girl for another year, but being done with diapers will be glorious!

Good luck!

Chloe is training right now, too. I am leaving it all up to her. Just went and got her some pull-ups for Daycare and panties at home. Very exciting times!

I say GO FOR IT! My Bella was 24 months when she said "I no wear diapers I am a big girl." I told her she had to wear diapers - but she insisted and won. she did have one accident ;) Tia did pretty much the same thing at about 30 months (NO ACCIDENTS!). My boys were both over 3.

I LOVE that top photo. It is one of my favorite of yours ever. isn't that funny? maybe because it is so 'real'.

And you're a poet too?!
sweet pictures of a stage we all remember!
Wouldn't it be something if she was ready to train? My middle girl was like that "i want to go on the potty" and in the space of 3 or 4 days, that was it! trained!
You're right to go with the relaxed attitude, if it happens fine, if not, it will in its own time.
Love the tiaras! Sweet!

Oh my!!! She may just be ready- sometimes it is just that easy. She has her big sister to look up to & emulate. I love the crowns- I sooooo miss those days when my girls would play dress up. It goes by so quickly! Adorable- thanks for the smile this morning Lisa!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these photos. There must be a children's magazine that would love them, too, with your poem.

They are adorable. Every little girl should potty train in a tiara :)

It was easy like that when I was nanny once too! We had a stack of books next to the potty.

Oh I needed a good laugh! Seems to me the girls got it down, right down to the Crown and their very own Throne. what a hoot Lisa. Also cute poem. Seems everything is going smoothly with a little encouragement from big sis Sarah!

I love that shot. Look at her sitting there. She could be royal indeed, such stature :) Very cute!

(hee hee) Love that sister time in the bathroom. Lottie and Emma still go to the potty together! When we went home for our daughter's wedding, we were at our dearest and bestest friends house, Allie Boo, to play. Lottie needed to go potty and they both turned to Allie Boo (only child) and said, "Do you want to come with us?" Allie had the strangest look on her face and her Mommy said, "No thank you sweet girls!". My girls just shrugged their shoulders like...Hhmph...wonder why she didn't want to come??" ha ha

Love your girls, these are really great pictures:)

LOL!! Those photos are PRICELESS! How adorable. I love that they go together. Sounds to me like you are off to a super-great start ~ but the 'princess on her throne' is just too appropriate. Love it!!

...and I had to giggle at Kim's story above about Lottie and Emma, asking their friend to join them ~ cracked me up!! ;)

Hope it goes well for you! For us it didn't take long and even though she still has the occasional accident (within 24 hours of steam cleaning the carpets of course!) it's still a treat to be out of diapers! Hope your Reags does well and oh my, do the girls look cute in their tiaras!
