Super Healing Powers

Super Hero Healing Powers Collage BLOG
Today is two weeks from the day that Reags burned her poor little hand and I am just amazed at the progress she has made in just 14 days.
On Monday we stopped wrapping it and just covered it with a special breathable sleeve to protect it.
As of last night, she is free of all bandages and coverings and we are really happy with what we see and so is she:)

Hand Healing 3 BLOG
Trust me when I say, this is a million times better...
Up until about three days ago, Reagan could not even look at it and cried hysterically every time we unwrapped her hand.
We are in a much much better place now and the sight of it, no longer scares her.
She is brave little super hero:)

TGIF everyone!
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend and to some, a great spring break.
In other breaking news, I officially opened the website, "2 Hip Chics", you might want to stop by and take a look.

I am so glad that Reagan is feeling better. I imagine that looking at her hand triggered the memory of the event and pain associated with it.

Have a great weekend!

Hi Lisa,

I've been dying to get to your blog all morning hoping it would be an update on Reagan's hand. Looking at the 'much better' pictures made me take a deep breath so I can't IMAGINE how it looked two weeks ago; and how frightened you must have been.

I'm so sorry that she had to go through that. I hear that burns are the worst kind of pain, and there's nothing harder than to see your child in pain. So sorry my friend.

Wishing you a HEALTHY, easy-breezy weekend.

Love, tara

Hi Lisa! Sorry it's been a while. I was so sorry to hear about Reagan's burn. Yikes! I'm so happy to see how well it's healing up. This girl likes to keep you on your toes. I remember when she bumped her eye on the coffee table! I LOVE their super hero outfits. Wicked cute!

We are nearing the end of our wait! We are currently awaiting our I-800 approval. I'm so excited...and nervous. I know I have to be really strong for this trip. I'm so eager to meet my eldest daughter, but also concerned for how she's going to feel about leaving her foster family of 4 years, her culture of almost 10 years. And my son...he's older than Ping was, but he's still young. He still will not fully understand what is happening.

I haven't heard back from you in a while. I hope you are doing all right!
