Scenes from 4th of July 2012

July 6, 2012

mussels and clams collage
I only have a few minutes here to check in and share a little glimpse of our 4th of July celebration.

Kids Collage
The kids had a fabulous time running around playing in the pool, with water balloons.....

Sarah Collage Red Stripes
and coming up with their own games:)

Regan Red White and Blue Collage
Reagan has been sick since last Saturday and the 4th was the first that she was starting to feel better. She had missed the first half of the party because she was sleeping, but when she woke up she could not wait to join in the fun.

cooking the seafood collage 3
Nick and the Clambake Collage
Around 6pm, the men decided it was time to get the clambake started and that the best place to cook the big pots would be in our driveway. Even though it was hotter than blazes, there was a slight breeze that was hindering the flames, so they moved the cars to help block the wind. That definitely helped things move along!

Eddie and Kevin Eating Lobster Collage 2
They did a fabulous job cooking our meal to perfection!!! Everyone enjoyed every last bite......

corn on the 4th Collage
even the little ones loved their first New England Style Clambake!!!

Special thanks to my Aunt Betty and Uncle Kevin who brought us the wonderful seafood all the way from New England!! It was definitely a 4th of July everyone will remember!!

I hope that you all had wonderful 4th as well!!
Betty, Kevin, and Eddie are still visiting and will be here with us through the weekend. Today we are getting ready to head out Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom!! It should be another day filled with fun and adventures!!

Happy Friday Everyone~

Glad you had a good 4th July, hope you have another great day today.
It's so lovely to have the weather to eat (and cook!) outdoors, too much rain here this summer :(

It looks AMAZING> Seriously, my mouth is watering and your photos are delightful. You photograph food so well!!!

I hope Reagan is all better now. Buttered corn heals everything I think;)

I got a chuckle when I saw Dorney Park. As you know, I grew up in your area and we used to go there when I was young. Such memories!!! hope you have a BLAST! We are going to very small local chocolate factory today:)

Have a great weekend!!!

Hooray for a New England style clam bake! I am from Maine so I can appreciate this!! We had lobster for the fourth too and it was soooo good!Great captures of a fun filled holiday. 4th of July is becoming my favorite holiday...summertime, no gifts necessary, a day off and lots of time with the family.
